Michelle Yeoh recently teamed up with Richard Mille to design and produce a limited-edition tourbillon women's view. Based on their shared passion for fine timepieces, this exclusive collaboration came about soon after Mille met the actress via mutual buddy, Jean Todt.
Yeoh launched herself into the adventure about a year ago, alongside Melanie Treton-Monceyron, artistic director of Richard Mille. The two females discovered inspiration inside the symbol of the phoenix, a legendary bird they identified fascinating.
Made inside a limited edition of 18 unique pieces, the RM 051 Phoenix-Michelle Yeoh comes inside a tonneau-shaped 18K white gold, rose gold and titanium gem-set case. Positioned within the center, the phoenix is adorned with diamonds and encapsulates the motion in harmony with all the barrel, power reserve and tourbillon.
This fall, Yeoh stars in "The Lady," a film directed by Luc Besson, in which she plays Burma's pro-democracy activist Aung San Sun Kyi.
